Kaleidoscope Projector Lamp

The Kaleidoscope Projector Lamp produces great light show for its size. It uses just three AA type batteries and we’ve had them running all day long without needing to change them. It’s is one of the sensory lights we will show at Kidz-up-North on November 20th. (remember contact us if you need free tickets to the event)

This short video will give you an idea of the effect it can create.

The Kaleidoscope Projector Lamp works best in a darkened room, den or play area as you would expect but even so young kids will love the swirling light effect. Let them play some tunes at the same time and you’ve created their own disco party.

Take a look at Excitim’s YouTube Channel for more videos and play ideas.

Excitim at Kidz-up-North

The Kidz-up-North exhibition takes place this year on November 20th at EventCity, Manchester and Excitim will be there on stand B7.

If you have never been before then perhaps you should pop along. Kidz-up-North is one of the largest exhibitions dedicated to children and young adults with disabilities and special needs, their families and the professionals who work with them. It’s free entry and free parking.

Last year we decided to get involved and exhibited there for the first time. It was was manic, we were rushed off our feet, from doors open at 9:30 until 4:30 when the show closed.

This year we are planning to take along our:

A big hit last year were simple colour changing pyramid lights – they were so popular we ran out before lunch. This year we will take a lot more with us to avoid any disappointments.

Prize Draw

The prize draw was very popular. Lots of people signed-up for a chance to win Monty the Dog and a switch. Everyone couldn’t help but smile when they heard his party piece – he sang ‘Jingle Bells’ – perfect; after all it was nearly Christmas. Martin Robinson from Shaw was the lucky winner.

This years prize draw will be a Toy-Fi Teddy. Watch this video to learn more. I think you will be amazed when you see what he does.

Free Tickets

Contact us if you would like us to send you a FREE ticket. Then make a bee-line to visit Excitim at Kidz-up-North on stand B7 to check out special needs toys.

We recently had the opportunity to meet families and professionals at the ASSERT Angelman Syndrome Support Education and Research Trust conference and exhibition as they met to discuss new research into the condition and family support.

It could be you’ve never heard of the condition; I hadn’t before meeting parents and joining the very active Facebook Group Angelman Syndrome UK. If you would like to learn more then this blog posting ‘Angelman Syndrome Conference‘ will help as well as give you links to more information.

We had been invited to the exhibition to demonstrate special needs toys, sensory light and sound toys and iPad switches.

And, for some fun, we ran a prize draw for a Despicable Me Talking Minion Stuart; even though most parents must have been driven minion-mad by now. But, if somehow, all the excitement has all passed you by and you absolutely need to know what a Minion is and does, read this blog ‘switch adapted toys – Despicable Me Talking Minions.

Then read the mail Hana sent us when her son Dan received Despicable Me Talking Minion Stuart a few days later.
